Eastern Townships Canadian Club: Gloria Grow
SHERBROOKE: The Eastern Townships Canadian Club will be featuring Gloria Grow, Director of the Fauna Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides rescue and permanent sanctuary for animals that have been used, neglected, abused or rejected by humans. Established in 1997, the Fauna Foundation provides a better life for animals from farming, entertainment, education and research. Fauna is a protected environment for Quebec’s native flora and fauna. Situated on more than 200 acres in Chambly, Quebec, Fauna offers a lake, a river, fields, protected wetlands and a young forest of native flora and animals.
Born in Montreal, Gloria Grow always had a specific affection for and skill in working with animals. Join the Eastern Townships Canadian Club for a fascinating presentation and delicious meal at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, at Hôtel Le Président, 3535 King West, Sherbrooke.
To reserve for the meal and presentation, call 819-837-0192 by April 7. There is a small charge to attend the presentation only (7:15 p.m.). Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance of the event. Le Président is wheelchair accessible.
