MAGOG: The Centre Jeunesse d’emploi de Memphrémagog (CJE), in collaboration with the Centre local d’emploi (CLE) de Magog, invites people, of all ages, who are looking for work in the Estrie region to visit the upcoming event, Speed-Dating for Jobs 2013, to be held Saturday, April 20 at l’école LaRuche, (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.). This event is being offered free of charge.

About fifteen employers will be present this year, ready to meet with interested candidates in the form of a flash five-minute interview or via one of the information kiosks that will be set up. Other employers will be posting available positions on the Mur d’Emploi (Wall of Job Listings) which will be positioned for all to see. On the whole, there will be more than 215 job openings that will be posted at this event. Once again, the conference ‘Comment reprendre du pouvoir sur sa recherche d’emploi’ (How to Recapture your Ability to Find a Job’) which looks at the “hidden job market” will be presented, free of charge, thanks to the Centre d’orientation et de recherche d’emploi de Magog (CORE), in the central area at noon. Last year, this subject was presented in both French and English. //Companies that will be recruiting on Saturday include Wulftec International, Centre de santé et de services sociaux de Memphrémagog (CSSSM), Havre des Cantons, Hôtel & Spa l’Étoile-sur-le-Lac, (CSSD) - Coopérative de solidarité de services à domicile Memphrémagog (homecare services), Câble Axion, Boutiques Newport, Couche-Tard, Spa des chutes de Bolton et Marché Tradition J.P. Fontaine. Kiosques set up on site will include the SARCA de la Commission scolaire des Sommets, Placement Étudiant, Industrielle Alliance et l’agence de placement Emplois Compétences.

This activity, open to all Estrie residents, comes within the scope of the 4E edition of the Mois de la formation et des perspectives d’emploi de la MRC de Memphrémagog held from March 20 to April 20. The themes presented this month are the initiative of the CJE Memphrémagog, in collaboration with Emploi Québec Estrie and le Centre local d’Emploi de Magog (CLE), Service Canada and several local partners . The goal is to make people aware of trainings, jobs and future employment possibilities in the region.
