Festivities Planned at Beaulne Museum

Beaulne-Museum-pic COATICOOK: The Beaulne Museum will be holding its annual celebration event on Sunday, May 26 (10a.m. - 4p.m.). Organizers look forward to greeting visitors from the local as well as the regional area, bringing people a better understanding of what this institution has to offer. Visitors are sure to enjoy themselves as this traditional and exceptional cultural day unfolds and come away with a better understanding of the area and the people who call Coaticook their home, both today and in days gone by.

Free indoor and outdoor activities are being offered including an opportunity to tour the many exhibits on display, make a craft with Julie Bernard (for the children), learn the art of quilting and weaving, participate in a pop-art painting with the group Coatic’Art and enjoy the music and songs performed by the Harmonie de Coaticook, Martin Thibault, Daniel Thibault and Michelle Gauthier.

A yard sale (antiques, furniture, frames, tableware, etc), a bake sale, and picnic are being held as fundraising events. Homemade chili, torillas and cheese (Laiterie Coaticook), hot dogs, ice cream cones (Laiterie Coaticook), freezies, juice and soft drinks will be available to satisfy your munchies. For those who are looking for a little more dining finesse, hot tea will be served on the veranda.

This is a wonderful opportunity to participate in interactive cultural activities, listen to enjoyable music and savour tasty foods and maybe even purchase that something special. Organizers extend a friendly invitation to one and all to join them in this festive cultural event. The activity is scheduled to take place rain or shine.

The Ministry of Culture, Communications and the Status of Women, and la Ville de Coaticook financially support the Beaulne Museum of Coaticook.
