STANSTEAD, QUE/DERBY LINE, VT: In celebration of its 10th anniversary, organizers of THE MAGIC OF MASTER FIDDLERS’ annual, and very popular, benefit concert have decided to return to where it all began – at the Haskell Opera House. Lighting up this international venue, on June 15 (7p.m.) will be Canadian Master Louis Schryer from Ottawa and New England Master Scott Campbell of Vermont. Solo and ensemble numbers from these talented musicians will definitely ensure an evening of great entertainment. Step dancers, Chelsey and Kaitlyn Schryer will offer foot-stomping, open-minded fusion of many influences mingled into the fiddlin’ tunes. The proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Hospice Program of the Orleans Essex VNA & Hospice, Inc. - program for end of life care for residents of the Northeast Kingdom.

Louis Schryer has been playing the fiddle since the age of eight, receiving training in both classical and traditional music. An eight-time Canadian Open Fiddle Champion and four-time Grand Master Fiddle Champion Schryer also earned consecutively four-time Winner of the famous Pembroke Competition. He recorded his first album as a member of the Schryer Triplets at the tender age of fourteen entitled “Triple Fiddle”.

Scott Campbell is a multi-instrumentalist Master bringing emotion and humor to the stage with both self-composed music and original style to fiddle music including Country, Pop, Rock, Classical and Classical Pop. His sense of humour and the way in which he interacts with his audiences make this a performance not to be missed. Campbell has competed throughout New England and Canada earning numerous championship titles.

The Hospice Program of the Orleans Essex VNA & Hospice, Inc. has been a small yet mighty program since 1980 with the Orleans Essex VNA & Hospice, Inc. offering services to Northeast Kingdom residents since 1969.
